An all-around history of costume, with homage paid to hairdressers and above all to twentieth-century women, that piqued the curiosity of the Spanish nationwide daily newspaper El Mundo to the point of receiving a full page of coverage. All the shows were truly exciting, featuring great names in international hairdressing, which this year focused on form and styling, organised in Pavilion 2, where the Hair Look catwalk took place.
Sunday, 17 October, the Spanish trio of X-presion captured everyone’s attention with the best international collection of the year, which implemented air-conditioning conduits for gathering up experimental volumes, A truly spectacular presentation during which hairstyle, fashion, make-up, and music were studied in every detail.
The Sassoon Academy Collection team was the protagonist of the second show on Sunday: lots of technique brought to the umpteenth power for original creations and applied on various levels.
Finally, the exhibition of the professionals of the Club Figaro with the inauguration, for the first year of the Figaro Award for creative Spanish hairdressing. Pavilion 3 hosted the latest avant-garde products and trends in the beauty, spa & wellness, nails, and make-up sectors. The hairdressing and retail sector instead was located in Pavilion 4.
There was also a full programme of activities to offer added value the Salón Look Internacional. Leading sector professionals presented the latest trends in the “beauty conference” entitled III Congresso di Estetica. The world of spas was analysed by experts in the II Congresso di Spa & Wellness. For nail enthusiasts, there was the truly unique nail and make-up competition entitled III Campionato di unghie e make-up.
Of course, educational moments offered workshops by Pivot Point, Passarò, and Tony&Guy, various seminars and practical courses for beauty and hairdressing professionals .
