Scruples Professional Salon Products just announced the promotion of Katie Nielsen as the new Global Design Team Director.
Katie Nielsen has 25 years of experience in the industry. With roles ranging from receptionist to salon owner, Nielsen has done it all. She began her career at Scruples as an educator, advanced to an Artist, became a member of the Design Team and has now received a promotion to Director.
During this time, Nielsen has lead events at New York Fashion Week, runway shows, editorial shoots and salon focused education.
When educating an audience, Nielsen takes a straightfoward approach that makes her topics easy to understand. “I’m able to navigate my way through a comprehensive curricular trifecta: hair cutting, coloring and finishing (with precision and flare) in a clear, concise manner,” Nielsen says.
