Cosmetologists Chicago focus on Education

Cosmetologists ChicagoCosmetologists Chicago® (CC) has always promoted education and training for all licensed salon professionals, cosmetology students, nail technicians, estheticians, salon owners and managers with programs aimed at offering them a chance to grow their careers through education.

And this fall will be no exception, with several pro-level classes being organized, including:


“INTA N.A.I.L. – New and Interesting Learning” by Next Level Education and INTA

Educator Shawn Wilson combines her unique teaching style and know-how as a business owner to advocate for increased professionalism and take nail technicians to the next level by training, mentoring, and coaching and moving them to a successful and fulfilling career in the nail industry. Shawn will teach two segments, “Choosing the right environment for success” and “Setting goals for your career and future.”

“How to Leverage Social Media Grow Your Business and Increase Client Loyalty” with Schedulicity

This how-to workshop will give salon owners and pros actionable tips, advice and insights into how to efficiently use social media for promotion, client engagement and building low-cost widespread visibility for business.

And as if this weren’t enough, Cosmetologists Chicago continues a longtime tradition by announcing the 2010 Presidents Scholarship. The Presidents Scholarship began as the Evelyn Bunge Scholarship Fund twenty-one years ago to honor a CC past-president and has been making it possible for CC members to enrich their careers ever since.

In 2010, Cosmetologists Chicago will again award more than $25,000 to help qualifying members pursue a higher level of learning and career advancement.

All Cosmetologists Chicago, International Nail Technicians Association® (INTA), the American Association for Esthetics® (AAE) or Cosmetólogos Latinos® (CL) members are eligible to apply for a Presidents Scholarship. Members can apply for up to $2,500 a year ($7,500 lifetime maximum). Obviously, scholarship funds must be used towards industry-related education programs or tuition. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of need and academic record and applications for 2010 are due by December 1, 2010.
