Top groomers and stylists from around the globe are called to create a look, complete with hair and beard styling, that embodies the masculine aesthetic and timeless feel behind the iconic brand, while looking to the future of styling. Entries will be accepted through March 1st, 2019.
The All-Star Challenge encourages groomers and stylists to explore their creativity and use the platform as an opportunity to bring the modern, American Crew man to life, from his timeless, classic style to his trendsetting originality. Having transformed throughout the years from a one country event to a now global showcase, the All-Star Challenge has given this monumental opportunity to more than 10,000 stylists in over 40 countries since its start. As American Crew commemorates it’s 25th anniversary of inspiring excellence in men’s grooming, the competition finale returns to the US, taking place for the first time since its inception in New York, a city that sets trends echoed around the globe.
“It’s an absolute honor to be a part of the All-Star Challenge and provide talented stylists and groomers the chance to showcase their skills on a global stage. Especially as the men’s grooming category is growing at an exponential rate, the All-Star Challenge is now even more relevant than ever before, and we hope this competition continues to support this growth for decades to come,” said American Crew founder, David Raccuglia.
Following a meticulous review of entries, the top 15 finalists will represent their talent and their country at the 2019 All-Star Challenge where they’ll compete during a weekend of artistic exhibition and mastery to become the American Crew 2018-2019 All-Star Challenge Global Champion. The winner will receive:
• $10,000 USD
• The coveted American Crew All-Star Challenge Global Champion trophy
• An invitation to judge the 2019-2020 All-Star Challenge
• A full scholarship to the new American Crew Education Program
• Their winning look featured on a globally-available 2019 American Crew global Champion promotional product pack, distributed in select salons around the world
To be considered for the All-Star Challenge, stylists are asked to create a hair style that best represents the American Crew man, using the brand’s products. This look should be portrayed on a model and showcased through two black and white pictures of their model from chest-level and above, in front of a blank background, with one option face-on and one photo focusing on the profile. Photos are required to be accompanied by a brief description of the look and the products that were utilized to create it.
