As of January 1, 2015, Adil Mehboob-Khan leaves his role as Global President Wella – P&G Salon Professional.
The news spread like wildfire through social networks yesterday evening: Adil Mehbook-Khan, as of 1st January 2015, will be the new CEO of the Italian brand Luxottica with a delegate for marketing and finance. The news was announced late yesterday evening after the unanimous approval of the Luxottica board of directors.
Adil Mehbook-Khan leaves the presidency of Wella, a role had taken three years ago, and the P&G group where he began his professional career 27 years ago. Over these three years he has undeniably boosted business and Wella’s market share worldwide.
He was one of the protagonists during a significant period of brand transformation. Not only on an organisational and business level, but above all in the important innovations introduced to salons (from colour to haircare), inspiration, education, and support for hairdressers to whom he dedicated passion, vision, and expertise.
He will be succeeded by Patrice Louvet, Global Group President. French and with P&G since 1989, Louvet has played leadership roles in the beauty sector with experiences in Europe, Asia and North America. He has been involved in nearly every beauty category in P&G: from hair care to skin care, from prestige cosmetics to fragrances. EsteticaNetwork met with Louvet – as President of P&G Prestige – in 2010 for the perfumery publication, Allure.
