The seventeeth Cosmoprof Asia took place from 14th-16th November in Hong Kong.
Over 74,000 sq.m. of exhibition space (9% more than last year); 1,964 exhibitors (10% more than 2011) from 44 different countries and of whom 531 were newcomers; 55,386 visitors (14% more than 2011) with a significant number of buyers from Australia, China, Korea, Russia and the U.S. And there are more impressive figures – 23 international halls (from Australia to China, from Israel to the UK to Canada) as well as a 19% increase on the number of participants arriving from Europe.
To promote direct contact between the international buyers and exhibitors, the fair once again staged the International Buyer Programme. Over 140 one-to-one highly profitable meetings took place at the International Buyers Lounge during the three-day fair, to the delight of all those present.
Cosmoprof Asia worked with Asia Hair Masters Association (AHMA) to host a series of special events, such as the finals of the AHMA Hairstyling Awards, a competition dedicated to upcoming talented youngsters. And then there were the seminars dedicated to the emerging Asian markets (China and Japan), as well as the fashion trend previews for 2013/2014, sessions focusing on all-natural make-up products and eco-friendly packaging.
Next year’s event will take place from 13th-15th November, again in Hong Kong.
