The release of the first edition of Eco Salon, the book that collects images and interviews with twenty of the top green salons on an international level, is set for early January 2012. The Book, conceived of and commissioned by Davines, includes editorial contributions by EsteticaDesign.
The working platform was inspired by the most interesting salons participating in both editions of the Davines Ecosalon Contest in recognition of green hairdressing experiences: from energy savings to design, from the use of water to client awareness initiatives.
All in all, an unprecedented book, the only one of its kind and absolutely useful. And guide to help us learn from our colleagues – from every corner of the globe – how to make everyday gestures in favour of the environment. And how to make eco-sustainability a true mission.
Even in a salon.
The opportunity to present Eco Salon is all-American! In fact, the book will be distributed in Miami, from January 8-11, for the occasion of the Davines WWHT, World Wide Hair Tour, that in addition to hosting the eighth edition of the World Style Context, the international award for young talents, also proposes the Ecosalon Context, the competition that recognises the most eco-sustainable Davines salon in the world. The theme of the 2012 event is, “Every day above the earth/ together is a good day”,a citation from the film Scarface, for an event in the name of sharing and exchange between different worlds.
On the stage of the historic Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theatre, the theatre of the Art Deco District that in the past has served as a venue for musical stars like Frank Sinatra, The Doors, The Who, and Pink Floyd, there will also be Angelo Seminara, Davines Artistic Director, Allilon, the styling brand of Johnny Othona and Pedro Inchenko and Davines Artistic Stylists USA, Brian & Kirsten, the eclectic Danish duo.
