Cosmoprof Asia seems unscathed by the crisis as it attracted 4% more visitors (41,000) and 3.5% more exhibitors (1,412) than last year at its 14th edition, November 11-13, 2009. Held in Hong Kong’s Convention & Exhibition Center, the event thus further establishes its role as one of the Orient’s main stops for beauty, supporting the Asian market’s resilience to the economic climate.
International presence was at its top with a record of overseas visitors as well as 18 national pavilions dedicated to brands from around the world. The International Buyer Programme –with India, China and Russia as focus countries –returned with great success, as over 100 meetings between exhibitors and buyers were set up.
Seminars spanning from innovation to organic cosmetics and top events by global brands such as Babyliss (with the finals of the Babyliss PRO on Stage) and OPI (launching their Spring/Summer 2010 collection) complemented and completed the programme.
The next issue of Cosmoprof Asia will be on November 10-12, 2010 in Hong Kong.
