The “Luxury Fever Forever” conference is the first appointment of the “Cosmotalk” programme (Cosmoprof Bologna 2008) and will take place on Friday 11th April. Marketing, consumers and lifestyles will all be put under the microscope. The present and future of this sector will be under discussion – the differences between Europe, Asia and America, the profile of the “typical consumer”, the evolution of consumer models, the relationship with the so-called “mass-tige” Carol Brodie, Executive Director of Business Development for Faberge Ltd and famous for her numerous TV appearances on entertainment, lifestyle and money programmes, will introduce the subject. Following her presentation is a talk by Dana Thomas, one of the most controversial personalities of the fashion world. Currently European Director of the Condé Nast group in Paris, and author of “Deluxe: How Luxury Lost its Lustre”, she has also worked with other top publications such as the New York Time magazine, The New Yorker, Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar…. Then, also Radha Chadha, well-known speaker at academic seminars and conferences, author of “The Cult of the Luxury Brand: Inside Asia’s Love Affair with Luxury”. Finally, Annamaria Tartaglia, Marketing Director of Value Retail Italia and author of “Luxury…Magic and Marketing. Present and Future of the Essential Surplus” will wind up the conference, analysing the relationship between luxury brands and “mass” luxury.
